Many clients arrive expecting some sort of high-tech, Beyoncé-style wind machine to give their dress that dramatic, flowing effect. But, surprise! There’s no machine—just our superstar dress assistants who have perfected the art of throwing fabric in the air at just the right moment. When you see them in action, you'll quickly realize that getting those dreamy, flowing shots is basically a full-body workout!

2. The Beach Has… Sand?

You’d be amazed at how many people book a beach photoshoot and then say, “I don’t like sand between my toes.” (We wish we were joking.)
If you're not a fan of sand, we totally understand! But, spoiler alert: Aruba is an island, and beaches have sand—lots of it. The good news? We recommend kicking off your shoes and embracing the experience... You're in Aruba after all! That perfect pose on a boulder? You’ll need to climb up there, but don’t worry! Our team is here to help you up, hold your hand, and even give you a gentle push (gracefully, of course). We’ll get you into position, and trust us—the final shot will be so worth it.

4. Climbing to the Natural Bridge at Wariruri? Get Ready for a Mini Hike!
If you’ve seen the stunning shots of our clients sitting high atop the natural bridge at Wariruri, you’re probably wondering, How do I get up there? The answer? A little adventure!
There’s no elevator (sorry!), but with a short hike and some teamwork, you’ll reach the top safely. Think of it as part of the experience—by the time you sit down in your flowing dress, you’ll feel like you just conquered a mountain (or at least a really scenic rock).

5. "The Wind Must Really Help, Right?"
Sometimes, yes. Other times… not so much.
Sure, Aruba is a breezy island, but that doesn't mean the wind always plays nice. Some days, it works in our favor, creating that natural flying effect. Other days, our dress assistants are the real MVPs, running back and forth, tossing fabric in the air, and making sure your dress soars just at the right moment. It’s all about timing, skill, and a whole lot of arm strength!

6. "The Sun is in My Eyes!"
Yep, Aruba is sunny—a tropical paradise with blue skies and sunshine nearly every day of the year. And while we can’t turn down the brightness (we wish we could!), we have plenty of tricks to make sure you’re not squinting in every shot.
We’ll guide you through poses where you’re not staring straight into the sun, or if needed, we’ll have you close your eyes and open them on the count of three—giving you a natural, relaxed expression without the dreaded squint face.
🗣 Client: “The sun is in my eyes!”
😆 Us: “We live in the Caribbean… what were you expecting?!”
7. "Can We Do a Mid-Morning or Afternoon Photoshoot?"
Let me stop you right there.
While it might seem logical to schedule your photoshoot at a more "reasonable" time like 10 AM or 1 PM, trust us—that's a big no-no. Why?
🔥 It’s scorching hot. You’ll be sweating before we even start.
💡 The lighting is too harsh. Instead of glowing, soft, golden light, you’ll get shadows on your face and squinting eyes.
👥 Too many people. Beaches and tourist spots get packed, meaning you’ll have strangers in the background of every single shot.
This is why our sessions are scheduled at 7 AM, 8 AM, and 5:30 PM—when the light is magical, the heat is bearable, and you won’t have an audience photo-bombing your pictures.
🗣 Client: “I don’t want to wake up that early. Can we do it later?”
😆 Us: “Not unless you want to melt and have zero privacy!”
8. "My Lashes Have Blown Off!"
Yes, you read that right.
We’ve had a few ladies lose their false eyelashes to the wind gods mid-shoot. So if you’re planning on wearing falsies, bring extra glue and a back up set or opt for waterproof mascara instead! The Aruba breeze is no joke, and once those lashes take flight, they’re not coming back.... Bye Felicia!
