If you find yourself wondering how to pose at a beach photoshoot, you are not alone!
Almost all of our clients have no modelling experience and their flying dress photoshoot in Aruba is often the first time they have ever been photographed by a professional photographer, so we completely understand that a few tips and tricks are necessary to get the best out of your session.
Here we list ten of our most popular tips to help guide and inspire you, not just on your flying dress photoshoot, but the next time you are taking snapshots at the beach...
10 TIPS AND TRICKS FOR POSING AT A BEACH PHOTOSHOOT
1. Stand Tall: Keep your posture upright and elongate your body to create a graceful silhouette.
2. Relaxed Shoulders: Avoid tensing your shoulders; instead, keep them relaxed and slightly back to open up your chest.
3. Angle Your Body: Angle your body slightly to the side for a more flattering and dynamic pose. This can help accentuate curves and create visual interest.
4. Play with Hair: Let your hair flow naturally with the wind or gently run your fingers through it for a relaxed and carefree look.
5. Natural Movement: Incorporate gentle movements like walking along the shore or swaying your hands in the air to add life and energy to your poses.
6. Use Props: Utilize our box of props and wear a flower crown or piece of statement jewellery to add depth and interest to your photos.
7. Experiment with Poses: Try a variety of poses such as sitting on a rock or leaning against a palm tree to find what feels most comfortable and flattering for you.
8. Engage Your Eyes: Look towards the camera with confidence and warmth, or gaze off into the distance for a more dreamy and contemplative vibe.
9. Highlight Your Best Features: Whether it's your legs, arms, or back, emphasize your best features by positioning them towards the camera or subtly drawing attention to them with your poses.
10. Have Fun: Most importantly, relax, have fun, and let your natural beauty shine through. Genuine smiles and expressions will always make for the best photos.
***BONUS TIP***
Practise in the mirror at home before your photoshoot so you can see which poses and angles you feel the most comfortable and confident with.
